A hollow rectangular tube with highly polished inner wall, the invar 36 waveguide tube has a very small coefficient of thermal expansion, suitable for outdoor radio unit and used to transmit UHF electro-magnetic waves, the pulse signal can be transmitted to the destination with small losses through the tubes, less affected by environmental temperature changes and no frequency drift phenomenon.
The inner diameter of the waveguide tube varies with the wave-length of the signal being transmitted. It is mainly used in military radio fields, such as centimeter and millimeter wave radio communications, radar and navigation, etc.
